After much deliberation with myself, yeah I know, I'm crazy. But I have decided to blog everyday for the month of December, or at least, what's left of it.
I have absolutely no idea what I will post about everyday. I'm sure that I have plenty of things that I can write about in length, my life is fun, yeah!
So today...... oh yeah! I made a Twitter account for my dog, I know, lame but he has an interesting life and it could be fun to live vicariously through my chihuahua. If you are interested in being a fabulous follower of my favorite pooch, here ya go: www.twitter.com/paisleyvaughn
Yes he has a middle name, thank you very much. It took great thought and consideration when naming him. Paisley is actually a Scottish mans name, even though it seems awfully feminine. He can pull it off though, him and his pink snuggie!
Have you had one of those days where you come home from work and just pass out? Well I did today. It's been awhile since I have done that, and after sleeping for about 5 or 6 solid hours I feel better. Which is good because I am still not 100% better after being sick last week. I had this completely horrible cold thingy that kept me out of massage for 2 days and got me sent home early from my other job one day. Oh life, but I am feeling better and soon my cough will be gone and my fabulous voice will be perfect once again.
Well, off to bed. But don't worry, I will be back tomorrow to blog my little heart out.
Kisses!

I am SO over being sick
The title says it all. I cannot handle having a sore throat for one more day. It's killing me.
I just want to feel better.
Is that too much to ask?
I don't want to play anymore, sore throat. I just want to not be painfully aware of where my tonsils are located everytime I try to swallow. How is it that we neglect that function so easily? Well, never again for me because I never want to go through this again. Ugh.
Make me better?

Self-Cleaning Oven Anxiety
Let me set the scene...
It was the eve of Thanksgiving 2006 and I was getting ready to make some pies for the next day. I decide that I should clean my oven before all of the baking begins for good measure. I lock the oven and turn the dial to "CLEAN" and walk into the living room to make a call to my Mom. As I am sitting in my very comfy shabby chic chair and gossiping away with my Mom, the most terrible noise happens and as I look at my stove, smoke is shooting out the front! It's like backdraft. After telling my Mom I would call her back, I run over to the oven and shut it off and try to unlock it to put out the flames that are inside the oven while screaming FIRE, FIRE, FIRE to my roommates who are clearly not understanding the enormity of panic in my voice. So I run down the hall still screaming FIRE and bang on both of their doors and then they finally come to my rescue. (Side note, boys are dumb, don't live with 2 of them if you have a choice in the matter.) They are both trying to get the oven to open and in the process break the oven. But the fire is out so it seems as if we can calm down a bit. I then call my ex-boyfriend who is a firefighter to ask if I should call 911 or not. He advises that this is not a good suggestion as they will take an axe to the oven and it will be rendered useless for my Thanksgiving prep, and that I just need to stick it out because the oven has locked itself from the temperature that it reached and in a couple of hours it will be cool enough and unlock itself. Thanks ex-bf, Happy Thanksgiving, have a great night! (PS- he thought that this phone call was hilarious and was sad he didn't live in Vegas so that he could take the axe to the oven himself.)
A few hours goes by and the oven is still locked, so I decide to go to the store to get oven cleaner for when it finally does open, and then come home and take a nap. 8 hours later, at about 5am the oven has finally cooled down enough to unlock itself. But since my roommates broke the lock I have to lift up the hood of the stove and reach in to manually unlock the oven to get it open. So as I open the oven door I see it, the blackest soot I have ever encountered in my life. Is there a hole in the bottom of the oven? Did I really do that? How is that possible? So 4 cans of oven cleaner and 8 sponges and 2 pairs of rubber gloves later, I finally get the oven clean so I can start baking.
Yay!
I get my pies in ASAP and start to prep for the rest of the meal. Everything worked out great, dinner was a success and all of my friends thought that this was completely something that would happen to me. They tell me they love me and that they are glad that everything worked out well but are very sad that they didn't get to witness the event.
The following year as I am getting pies ready the night before to save time the next day, my new roommate (yes I moved out and got different roommates) comes walking in with a fire extinguisher with an enormous bow on it. Just in case he says, anything is possible with you.
You are probably wondering while in the middle of September I am talking about something that happened nearly 3 years ago on Thanksgiving? Well, now that I am living in my fabulous house, roommate free, I have finally gotten the courage to use the self-clean function on the oven as opposed to cleaning it myself. So this just brought up some fun memories of years past that I thought you would all enjoy.
So far so good though, we are about 30 minutes in without any sign of a fire. Wish me luck!

Death By Flip Flop
Tonight, as I was thoroughly enjoying the documentary "Man On Wire" (rent it ASAP), I hear a noise...I turn to look...I see my little doggy batting at something..."Paisley, what have you got there?... AAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH"....
HE WAS PLAYING WITH A CENTIPEDE!
Oh my gosh, why today of all days did I have to be looking at pictures of parasites at work to come home to find a bug in my house that couldn't resemble a parasite more? God, I know I'm becoming a Jew, but COME ON!
Death came rather quickly to the little fella, via flip flop and screaming woman, only to be proceeded with the scoop and toss via kleenex.
I am now terrified to go to sleep, because what if a centipede is in my bed? There was one in my living room, why couldn't there be more, like possibly a swarm? Maybe a gaggle? I'm so sleepy, but I am so scared. Why, oh why did you have to come into my life little disgusting centipede?

Way too many sites.......
It's amazing how many networking sites are in the world. I can't even believe how many I belong to either. Lets see what I have:
- MySpace
- Classmates
- Plaxo
- Friendster
- Hi5
- IList
- Merchant Circle
- MomsLikeMe (strictly business-no babies here)
- ABMP (another business related site-I'm a Massage Therapist)
That's all that I have off of the top of my head, but I'm sure I'm missing a few.
We have so many friend, family, private, personal, onlines lives. If you have a blog, or two (I have one just for work) it's insane to try and keep control of.
I just realized last night how many email accounts I have. When I was trying to clear them out, it took me over an hour. Why do I have so many? What's the point?

Snow........in April
Oh how I love thee, not really. Reno has the most diverse weather I have ever encountered. Yes, yes I grew up here so this shouldn't be a shock to my 25 year old self but it is!
Yesterday I had on a tank top and flip flops and today? I am sitting in my house, wearing my uggs and a scarf and looking out the window at the falling snow. Feeling despair because I have already started my Spring planting. Poor flowers, you never had a chance!
Summer will be here soon though, possibly around 6 tonight? I have seen it happen before.
Reno is the only town that I know where you can have your windows down, mojitos out, for it to start snowing in July so you have to bundle up and keep warm. You can have your air conditioning and your heat on all in the same day.
Everyone seems to be hibernating in my house, maybe I should too.

Monday Fun
How come re-arranging your house is so much fun? Well, I think so anyways. Today I moved things around, hung new stuff up, changed other art and decor, etc. My house was mostly black, white and red but I didn't think it was fun anymore. So now my house is pink and yellow and black and white and lots of other bright colors.
Change is good.
It was very exciting because I recently bought, or invested perhaps, in a large antique pink amish barn star. And my girlfriend bought me a smaller green one. I hung those today, and oy was that a task. The large pink one weighs a ton and I had to screw it to my wall so that it can't fall down and pierce something.

Hi!!!!!!!
Hi everyone.......
Welcome to my blogworld.......
I have wanted a blog for awhile now, but I really didn't know what to say that would be interesting. I have been doing my research and have my favorite blogs that I am completely addicted to and have to read every day. They have given me lots of inspiration even though my life is inspiration enough.
I hope you enjoy my world as much as I do!
Kisses!
